Double J Transport LLC

With 50+ years and 3 generations of ownership, Double J Transport is a dedicated contract carrier out of Jackson WI. 

Requirements

1+ year of Class A CDL OTR experience. Double J requires some snow and ice + mountain experience.
good MVR and favorable background check. Requirements do vary per dedicated contract account, see PDF for exact eligibility requirements provided in Focus area. 

Double J will consider someone with 6-9 months IF they are spotless.

Double J can work with a SAP driver on some accounts as long as he or she is 100% complete with it. 


Equipment

Drivers will need somewhere safe to keep the equipment.
Very nice and well maintained, clean equipment 
Newer Cascadias, all autoshift, Detroit DT12 12 speed

APU, refrigerator, inverter, 70 mph

All trucks will have outward facing cameras and some accounts require Double J to have inward facing as well. Please bring it up to the driver if it is an account that has both inward and outward (it will specify under each account below). 

Rider and Pet
Pet policy, 1 dog only, no size or breed restrictions. $600 pet deposit, deducted through payroll $50 per week.
Double J has a rider policy but no "permanent riders". Rider must be 10 years old or older.


Physical and Drug Screen 

If they have a 2 year physical with 90 days or more before it expires we can use it. If they have less then a 2 year card, or less then 90 days left on their 2 year card they will need a new  physical. Physical and drug screens are done before orientation, typically close to where the driver lives.  Urine drug screen. 

 

Orientation
2 day orientation, Tuesday and Wednesday, in Jackson WI. Flight to orientation. At this time a flight is all that is offered (they are considering rental cars as an additional option in the future). If drivers want to rent their own car Double J will reimburse. Drivers will have a private room. Once orientation is completed and they are under a load they will receive $200. They will receive another $200 in 7 days.

Team and Solo Drivers
Truck will have an inward facing camera, please be sure driver will be okay with that.

Running Area
Reefer freight, long-haul coast to coast. Drivers need to be willing to run 48 states. They will not run NYC.
These are long runs between stops and they will run West Coast (including CA), East Coast, Northeast, Midwest, TX and FL. These drivers are 2-3 weeks out, they will earn 1 1/2 days home for every 7 days out.


Pay
2500-3000 miles per week solo - .60 CPM - $1500-$1800 per week average (some weeks will be more)
5000-6000 miles per week team - .78 CPM (to the truck)
Team splits the .78 CPM. (e.g., team gets 5000 miles at the .78 CPM for $3900 to the truck which they split so earning $1950 per driver). 
Detention pay - They should not run into much detention but detention pay is offered case by case.

Summary

Must have no major violations within the past 24 months (defined in PDF)

 Must have no Critical Violations / Accidents in the past 36 Months (defined in PDF)


Drivers with the following are NOT acceptable:
• More than two (2) minor violations within the past 12 months (defined in PDF)

• More than three (3) minor violations within the past 36 months (defined in PDF)

• More than 2 At Fault Accident in the last 24 months (defined in PDF)

• More than 3 At Fault Accidents in 48 months (defined in PDF)

• More than three (3) minor violations in combination with one at fault accident within the past 48 months (defined in PDF)

LEONARD'S EXPRESS DRIVER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

At Least 23 Years of Age or Older

Holland account requires at Least 18 Months of Verifiable OTR  Driving Experience
Need snow and ice + mountain driving experience

Must be willing to drive OTR routes across all 48 states and be out at least 3 weeks at a time

Coast to coast running area, average length of haul over 1500 miles, 2500-3000 miles per week.

Double J Transport Application 

Full Intelliapp can be completed over the phone with the driver below. Please be sure application is up to date and thoroughly completed. When sending an email letting Double J know we have submitted an application subject line needs to be drivers name and phone number in the following format. 
Subject line: Joe Driver - Tel 000-000-0000

It's important to give an anticipated start date, be sure to ask the driver when they think they'd like to be in an orientation. Some will say ASAP, some will need 2 weeks, some may tell you they want to get an appointment behind them, etc.
Example email:
I have submitted his application for Leonard's. He has indicated to me that he would like to be in orientation as quick as he can. Please let me know if I can help with anything at all!
Let your driver know that Double J will be reaching out and also sending them an email to sign the application we did.
